ABOUT US

MAVIE FILMS was founded in 2017 by Erkan Acar & Aysel Yilmaz as an independent film production company with headquarters in Berlin. In addition to Berlin, the company has another office in Munich.

We develop and produce films and series for the German and international market in the cinema, TV and digital media sectors. We participate in the development, financing and production of our projects both in our own and in co-productions.

As part of our work, we always feel connected to the meaning of our company name, which derives from the Turkish word “mavi” (blue) and the French “ma vie” (my life). Along with this, it is our goal to create an environment for young, creative artists in which they can develop multifaceted, distinctive and extraordinary stories that appeal to a wide audience and cast their spell over them.

Mavie Films produces with passion, enthusiasm and a lot of fun at work. We attach great importance to giving newcomers a place of creative freedom and promoting them to find a new voice for German film. To this end, we founded the New Generations MAVIE WRITERS ROOM with the support of Red Bull, which aims to promote authors, directors and their projects and make them visible to the German film industry.

Die MAVIE FILMS wurde im Jahr 2017 von Erkan Acar & Aysel Yilmaz als unabhängige Filmproduktionsfirma mit Hauptsitz in Berlin gegründet. Neben Berlin unterhält das Unternehmen ein weiteres Büro in München.

Wir entwickeln und produzieren Filme & Serien für den deutschen & internationalen Markt im Bereich Kino, TV und digitale Medien. An der Entwicklung, Finanzierung und Umsetzung unserer Projekte beteiligen wir uns sowohl in Eigen- als auch in Koproduktionen.

Im Rahmen unserer Arbeit fühlen wir uns stets der Bedeutung unseres Firmennamens verbunden, der sich aus dem türkischen Wort “mavi” (blau) und dem französischem “ma vie” (mein Leben) zusammensetzt. Damit einhergehend ist es unser Ziel, jungen, kreativen Künstlern ein Umfeld zu schaffen, in dem sie facettenreiche, unverwechselbare und außergewöhnliche Geschichten entwickeln können, die ein breites Publikum ansprechen und in ihren Bann ziehen.

Mavie Films produziert mit Herzblut, Elan und viel Spaß an der Arbeit. Wir legen hierbei einen großen Wert darauf, Newcomer/innen einen Ort der kreativen Freiheit zu geben und darin zu fördern eine neue Stimme für den Deutschen Film zu finden. Dafür haben wir mit der Unterstützung von Red Bull den New Generations MAVIE WRITERS ROOM gegründet, der Autoren, Regisseure und deren Projekte fördern und für die deutsche Filmindustrie sichtbar machen soll.
